Nigeria Police Recruitment Positions and Academic Requirements for APRIL 2016

A.) Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police

Academic Qualification

• Have a Bachelors Degree or High National Diploma (HND)
• Have and NYSC certificate.

B.) Cadet Inspector of Police

Academic Qualification

• Have a minimum of either Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Advanced Level (A Level), National Certificate of Education (NCE) or their equivalent.
• Possession of at least five (5) credit level passes (including Mathematics and English Language) at O'Level

C.) Police Constable

Academic Qualification

• Have an O'Level certificate or its equivalent with at least five credit level passes including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings.

JAMB Direct Entry 2016 Registration Details.

Jamb direct entry 2016 application commences. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the sale of Direct Entry (DE) application forms for 2016/2017 academic session. The form is now available online at the Jamb e-registration portal.

How To Apply:

1. Interested candidates are to obtain the Direct Entry e-registration scratch card from any of the following places; Zenith Bank, Skye Bank, Union Bank, First Bank and NIPOST at the cost of N5,000 (Five thousand naira) only.
2. The registration can only be done in accredited JAMB CBT Registration Centres for 2016 UTME. Visit the Jamb Direct Entry 2016 e-registration portal via http://www.jamb.org.ng/DirectEntry/ for the online application.
3. Use the Sign Up option to validate your PIN and serial Number. A few of your details shall be captured on first Sign-In after supplying your PIN and Serial Number. Subsequent Sign-in will take you to the registration page if entry has not been submitted otherwise to home page. The Lost Card option is used to retrieve Lost PIN.
4. Ensure that you have an electronic copy of your Most Recent Passport Photograph (not older than 3 months) before you start your registration. Candidates are advised to test the validity of their passport photographs before proceeding to fill. Use Microsoft Image Editor or Any available Image editing Software to Re-size and Convert your Picture into JPEG Format and required size of 15 Kilo Bytes.

NOTE: Candidates who supplied valid e-mail addresses during registration shall receive their registration details via e-mails upon Submission of forms. This should be printed and attached to the earlier printed slip.
It is worthy of note also that it's now a compulsory requirement for candidates seeking direct-entry admission into any Nigerian university to register with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) before any admission offered could be deemed authentic.

Nigeria Police Academy 4th Regular Course Admission.

NPA application form details announced. This is to inform the general public that the sale of online application forms for admission into the 4th Regular Course of degree programme of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, has commenced.
Admission into the Academy is open to both male and female Nigerians of good character.

Candidates admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil degree course will undergo a combined academic and Police training for a minimum period of Five (5) Years leading to Bachelor’s degrees and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Available Courses:

Courses leading to Bachelor’s degrees in the following disciplines are available in the Academy:

a. FACULTY OF HUMANITIES. BA in: English, Nigerian Languages & Linguistics, History & International Studies.

b. FACULTY OF LAW: LLB

c. FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: BSc in: Accounting, Economics, Management Sciences, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology.

d. FACULTY OF SCIENCE: BSc in: Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Physics.

Admission Requirements:

The following are the admission requirements:

a. Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be Nigerian citizens and must be between 17 and 22 years of age, and must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female.
In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 91cm (36 Inches). All candidates must be free from any physical deformity or mental disability.

b. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings and including a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.

c. Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical and psychological tests of fitness.

d. SSCE STATEMENT OF RESULTS OR CERTIFICATES RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS TAKEN BEFORE 2012 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Method Of Application:

1. Interested Applicants for the NPA application form are advised to go to the Nigeria Police Academy’s Website: www.polac.edu.ng in order to obtain or generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code.
2. The RRR code obtained can be used to make payment of N3,000.00 through any commercial Bank Branch in Nigeria.
3. Applicants must, in addition, apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board as well as sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
4. Candidates need not select the Police Academy as a university of choice in the JAMB form.
5. However, only candidates who obtained the minimum UTME scores which is to be determined by JAMB and purchased the Academy online application form; will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination.

Submission of NPA Application Form:

Applications are to be submitted online. On submission of the applications, candidates are required to download Acknowledgement Form. Candidates who obtained the minimum national cut-off marks or above, will be enabled to download and print their examination cards.

Entrance Examination Date, Conditions and Requirements:

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Selection Examination, may be Computer Based Test (CBT)  or Pencil and Paper and it will be conducted on Saturday the 16th July, 2016.

Only candidates who obtained the minimum national cut-off marks or above will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination at 12 designated Centres.  Eligible candidates are to bring along to the examination venue their;

• Acknowledgement Form,
• Examination Card,
• JAMB Result Slip,
• Two Postcard size photographs (3.5x5 Inches) which should show only from the chest upwards. At the back of each of the two Postcard size photographs, the candidates must write their name, State of origin, examination centre and signature.

Only candidates who are successful in the Selection Examination will be invited for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board Interview. The list of successful candidates will be published on our website and in some national newspapers.

2.  Be between the ages of 18 - 22 years while 24 - 26 years are the acceptable limit for those with OND, NCE, Nurses and Motor Transport Department (MTD) respectively. Candidates with higher qualifications than those specified in the guidelines should not apply. 

3.  Applicants must be single and of Nigerian origin by birth.

4.  Required height of 1.70 metres for Male and 1.67 metres for Female.

NYSC Online Registration for 2016 Batch A Prospective Corps Members.

This is to inform all prospective corps members that the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC portal will be opened today for 2016 batch A online registration.

Prospective corps members should ensure that they have a valid and functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register.

How To Register:
1) Graduates are to visit www.nysc.org.ng for online registration and biometric data capture.
2) They should upload a Passport photograph with the following specifications:

• Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending.
• Ensure the picture is centralized and fills the frame.
• Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.

NOTE:

1. Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00).
2. Prospective Corps members who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Nationality: Applicant must be of Nigerian origin.
2. Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 22 years for non-tradesmen/women, 17 and 24 years for tradesmen/women by 31 December 2016. Those applying as drivers must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years by 31 December 2016
3. Marital Status: All applicants must be single.
4. Height: Minimum height is 1.68 meters or 5.5ft for males and 1.65m or 5.4ft for females.
5. Medical Fitness: All applicants must be medically fit and meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
   ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
6. Non-Tradesmen/women: Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and English Language in SSCE/NECO/GCE obtained not later than 6 years to this exercise. In addition, applicants are also required to possess their school's testimonials.
7. Tradesmen/women: Applicants must possess OND, NABTEB, RN/RM or City & Guild Certificate. Candidate with only Trade Test Certificate are required to also have a minimum of 3 passes in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English. In addition, applicants applying as tradesmen/tradeswomen must possess ND (with minimum of Lower Credit) or other relevant trade qualification from government-approved institutions. Note that applicants with HND or First Degrees/Post-Graduate Certificates, University Diplomas and Grade II Teacher's certificates will not be considered for recruitment as airmen/airwomen into the Nigerian Air Force and should not apply.
